Top of the TBR
This month, we are reading the top two books from our 2025 TBR (“To Be Read”) survey!
Last year, we sent out a survey to gather the books that everyone has been wanting to read. (You can find the full list of books people wanted to read here.) After compiling the complete list, we voted on the top two books. What a way to start off the year!
Dungeon Crawler Carl
by Matt Dinniman
More Info:
Dungeon Crawler Carl surprised us by being way funnier, smarter, and deeper than it has any right to be or expected. Between a talking cat icon, unhinged AI, and LitRPG chaos, we laughed while slowly also being immersed in subtle social commentary on a world of power, entertainment, and those who gets hurt for fun. Not for everyone, but for the right reader, it’s an addictive and hilarious read.
The Knight and the Moth
by Rachel Gillig
More Info:
Our book club devoured Night and the Moth and crowned it a gothic work of art full of stunning imagery, flawed characters, and a plot that did not play it safe. Bartholomew stole hearts, the worldbuilding dazzled, and Benji had us side-eyeing, defending, doubting, and arguing in equal measure until that cliffhanger hit. This book is full of calculated and questionable motivations, moral gray everywhere, and unanimous impatience for book two.
